A word from the Pastor of Praise Restoration Center

windWinds of March

William Shakespeare once said “Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May.” This quote is quite appropriate for the month, which is known for its strong winds. The image of a tree leaning at curved angels because of the force of winds seeming to be more appealing as we think the buds on the tree are being shook to awaken their duties to beautify the changing season.  After being dormant for several months it is now time for the buds to open and declare the beauty of God’s creations.

This is a reminder of the winds that blow in our spiritual life. The purpose of spiritual winds is much the same as natural winds awakening the purpose of the creation. When winds bring storms into our lives it is only an alarm to awaken the real purpose of your existence in Gods’ creation. This pastor has seen many people blown around in turmoil of trials only to persevere and bless on into a testimony for Christ. It is a thing of beauty to see a tested purpose in life prevail and be used to glorify God.

A little shaking by the winds of life fulfills the scripture in Hebrews 12:28 which declares “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.”
